Enemies

The enemies of the Munchkins are the killer robots that populate the levels. All enemies have very simple AI: they path back and forth between two points (or a smaller path if impeded), and perform some kind of attack if a Munchkin is near enough to them. All robots are larger than Munchkins (2 to 4 times larger). Robots can be involved in collisions with Munchkins, and can impart momentum to Munchkins, but are not themselves affected by Munchkin momentum, and are considered immovable objects with respect to Munchkin splatting.

Snatchers

Snatchers are flying robots. They fly back and forth in a horizontal path in the sky. If they are impeded by terrain before reaching the endpoint of their path, they turn around and start moving back to the other endpoint.

If they spot a Munchkin on the ground below their path, they swoop down in an arc, grab the Munchkin, then arc back up to the end of their path (or until impeded), and then "let go" of the Munchkin (which continues to travel according to its velocity before release).

While holding a Munchkin, Snatchers cannot grab other Munchkins, is impeded by other Munchkins, and can be collided with. If a Snatcher that isn't holding a Munchkin for any reason contacts a Munchkin, it snatches it and moves to the endpoint of its path and releases normally.

If a Tinker is Snatched, or impacts a Snatcher, it instead latches onto the Snatcher. The Snatcher then acts normally, as if it had not snatched a Munchkin. If 2 Tinkers latch onto a Snatcher, then the next time the Snatcher reaches the end of its path, it is destroyed and the 2 Tinkers are released (at 0 velocity).

Bashers

Bashers are land robots that path back and forth on the ground. Their path is determined by two x coordinates. They attempt to move, on whatever platform they are on, between those two points. If impeded by terrain, or the edge of a platform, they turn around and head to the other endpoint. They can scale the same slopes that Munchkins can. If the ground below them is destroyed, they will fall down to a lower platform and continue. Bashers can always be involved in collisions. Bashers are never impeded by Munchkins (as they just bash them).

If a Munchkin is directly in front of a Basher, the Basher will swing a hammer that knocks the Munchkin back at a 60 degree angle at a significant velocity. Only one Munchkin can be bashed at a time, but the bashing happens rapidly enough that it cannot be escpaed once initiated. Thus, a Basher running into a line of Munchkins will bash them all succesively. Munchkins that impact a Basher anywhere outside the strike region collide normally.

If a Tinker is bashed, or impacts a Basher, it instead latches onto the Basher. The Basher then acts normally. If 3 Tinkers are latched onto a Basher, it is destroyed and the 3 Tinkers are released.

Crushers

Crushers move exactly like Bashers do, and can always be involved in collisions. They move slower than Bashers. They are never impeded by Munchkins.

If a Munchkin is directly in front of a Crusher, it is immediately crushed and killed. Only one Munchkin can be crushed at a time, but it happens rapidly enough that it cannot be escaped once initiated. Munchkins that impact a Crushed anywhere outside the strike region collide normally.

If a Tinker is crushed, or impacts a Crusher, it instead latches onto the Crushed. If 4 Tinkers are latched onto a Crusher, it is destroyed and the 4 Tinkers are released.
